Dr Bhattacharya brings over twenty-five years of research, development, and business leadership experience across agriculture, biotechnology, dairy, protein, vegan, and functional food products. He has led large R&D and technology commercialization, valuation, and acquisition operations throughout his career.

He began his entrepreneurial journey by establishing a dairy protein startup in Mumbai. Dr Bhattacharya subsequently served as Vice President of Biotechnology & R&D at JK Agri Genetics Ltd, Hyderabad, a listed JK Group company. He was also Promoter, Chief Operating Officer, and Director at Tierra Agrotech Ltd, Hyderabad, a BSE-listed company. Additionally, he held the position of Director at the Food Technology and Science Institute, TCG Crest (a deemed-to-be university), Kolkata.

Dr Bhattacharya holds an MSc, MTech, and PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
