Singhi Advisors expands top deck with two appointments
Leading boutique investment banking firm Singhi Advisors has expanded its leadership team by inducting former CEO of Smartlink Network Bimal Raj and Narayan Shetkar from Srei Infra Finance.
Prior to his new job at Singhi Advisors as partner and head of infotech and technology vertical, Bimal Raj was the chief executive of networking firm Smartlink Network Systems, previously called D-Link, the city-based investment banking firm said in a statement.
Shetkar used to head corporate finance advisory at the Kolkata-based Srei Infrastructure Finance, and has come on board as a director, to lead initiatives in manufacturing, healthcare, engineering, infrastructure and business services.
Both will be based out of the Mumbai headquarters of the investment bank which has multiple offices in the country and Australia, the release said.
“The latest induction of leadership and talent does not just signal our plans for the good days ahead, but also marks that we remain firmly committed to the country’s growth story,” said the firm’s founder and managing director Mahesh Singhi.
The boutique investment banking firm recently took over operations of Mumbai-based Pristine Capital, leading to its founder Akshay Sanghvi joining it as a partner.
During the last one-and-a-half years, Singhi had inducted five new directors and practice leaders to expand the leadership team, including Anand Bagheria from ICICI as partner.
The two-decade-old company has closed over 100 deals in the last five years worth USD 4.8 billion in 18 sectors.
